The Ribbon Reel makes a commitment to protecting your privacy and promises only to use information collected about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
How we use your data
The Ribbon Reel does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment (for example Paypal). When you place an order, we may ask you for certain information and you may submit personal data to The Ribbon Reel (for example your name, phone number, postal address, email address).
Shopping with The Ribbon Reel
It's easy to shop at The Ribbon Reel. Just add your products to the shopping basket and when you have finished browsing, click checkout and you will be taken to PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can pay with your debit or credit card instead.
Price of Goods
The price for each product is shown in UK Sterling and includes relevant UK taxes. We always try to make sure that the prices are accurate but errors can occur. If we discover an error in pricing of the products in your order, we will inform you as soon as possible using the contact details you supply us with. We will then give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the products will be refunded in full. All ribbons/lace are sold per metre, unless otherwise stated in the product description.
We make every effort to keep the theribbonreel.co.uk as up to date as possible but cannot guarantee that a particular product will always be available. We may offer you the option of having the product sent to you as a back order (to follow the remainder of your order as soon as the product becomes available) or, alternatively, we will refund back the amount debited by us. Any offers are available while stocks last.
Placing/Confirming an Order
When you place your order online we will send you an email to confirm that we have received it. In the event that we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason we will contact you. A refund will be made for any items no longer available.
Our payments are made through PayPal, where you can use your PayPal account or have the option to use your debit/credit card instead. We are currently unable to accept cheques, other than eCheques through PayPal.
theribbonreel.co.uk currently delivers to all destinations. You will be notified of the delivery costs automatically before you submit your credit card details, which are currently £2.50 on orders under £5.00 and and £3.50 on ordes over £5.01, orders over £50 are sent FOC within the UK.
Delivery Methods & Schedule
Orders are despatched by Royal Mail. Most of our products are supplied direct from stock and we will despatch your order within 3 business days (usually sooner). If goods cannot be shipped within a reasonable time we will e-mail you to advise you of this and, if there is to be a delay, ask if you wish to continue with the transaction and offer you the opportunity to cancel your order. We will make every effort to deliver within the time stated but we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. Please note that while items sent by Royal Mail usually arrive within 2-3 days (the Post Office aim to deliver 92% on the next working day after posting), Royal Mail stipulate that only items still not delivered after 15 working days can be officially classified as lost. Compensation for loss of goods is limited to the cost of the goods ordered and will take the form of replacement or refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Product Returns Policy
In line with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations you may cancel your order within 7 days following receipt of the item(s) provided you notify us in advance. Before returning any item for any reason please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will advise you on the next steps.
A non faulty item can be returned within 7 days following receipt of the item provided you notify us in advance at email@example.com. We will advise you on the most appropriate method of returning the item(s) back to us.
Please return it to us, securely wrapped, with the invoice/despatch note, in an unused 'as new' condition, having taken reasonable care of it, complete with packaging and all components. You are responsible for the returned product(s) and condition until they reach us. It is your responsibility to pay for the return postage.
We will process the refund within 30 days or earlier once we have inspected the returned item (minus the original the cost of the original postage) and are satisfied that it has been returned to us in the condition it was in when delivered to you. In the event that the item is returned in a condition that is not 'as new', a reduced refund may be paid depending on its condition.
If you receive an item as faulty or damaged please contact us in the first instance with a description of what aspect of the item is faulty.
Where we have requested that the item be returned, The Ribbon Reel will refund the cost of the return postage. You will be advised on the appropriate method of return postage - refunds will not be made for postage costs of unagreed postage methods.
The buyer will be offered a replacement (if available) or refund according to their own preference. The amount of refund will consist of the item(s) original postage costs and return postage unless otherwise agreed. The refund will be made within 30 days of receipt of the returned item or from the date that the refund is confirmed where the item is not required to be returned.
